Igniting Innovation: Highlights from Cohort 3 of the Zero Labs Innovation Launchpad
The Zero Labs Innovation Launchpad recently concluded its third cohort, transforming the Black Fire Innovation building into a lively center of collaboration and innovation. From October 4-6, we welcomed 14 dynamic teams, featuring 26 forward-thinking founders from around the U.S. and globally, who came together to shape the future of their industries. This exciting event, in partnership with the UNLV Office of Economic Development and the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), highlighted the growing diversity of talent emerging from both Las Vegas and beyond.
This cohort was particularly notable for the wide range of expertise brought together, from AI-powered solutions to sports and entertainment tech, all set to disrupt key sectors of Nevada’s economy. The energy and creativity were palpable, as these founders worked tirelessly to turn their innovative ideas into tangible solutions.
The weekend kicked off with intense workshops and mentorship sessions, followed by an evening of networking where 110 participants, including industry leaders, venture capitalists, and rising entrepreneurs, connected and exchanged ideas. Throughout the program, the teams benefited from insights shared by 31 subject matter experts, honing their business strategies, refining their products, and setting the stage for growth post-program.
Among the standout innovations were technologies aimed at revolutionizing gaming through AI, transforming the HR landscape, and creating new sports experiences. With G2E (Global Gaming Expo) following immediately after the program, several of the participating gaming teams were able to make an immediate impact in the industry.
As these founders move forward, they will continue to receive robust support through Zero Labs, UNLV OED, and GOED, ensuring they have the resources, community, and guidance needed to thrive. What makes this cohort particularly exciting is the ongoing collaboration between participants and mentors, creating an ecosystem of innovation that extends far beyond the program itself.
